For this year’s Big Draw Festival, Drawing in Motion, The Maltings is working with Northumberland Libraries to explore the theme of Fairytales across October half-term, led by artist Jyl Friggens.

These fun-filled shadow puppet-making workshops are aimed at ages 4 – 11 years, and will be held in 5 libraries across Northumberland: Blyth, Cramlington, Hexham, Ashington and Berwick.

The shadow puppet-making workshops are inspired by the award-winning Royal Opera’s Family Folk Opera, Wolf, Witch, Giant, Fairy, which will be screened at The Maltings on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 October.
